Job summary

Apex Systems seeks a Senior Python Software Engineer to lead design and development of web-based automation solutions. The role spans Jersey City, NJ, Charlotte, NC, and Plano, TX with a hybrid work model.

You will define architectural visions and ensure resiliency while delivering complex features and driving CI/CD pipelines. You should have 7+ years of software engineering leadership, strong Python, Go, Flask, FastAPI, and experience with databases like SQLite and MySQL.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience as a Software Engineer leading technical teams to design and develop software solutions.
• Proficiency in frontend and backend languages including Python, Go, Yang, NSO, Ansible, Java, and Bash scripting.
• Expertise in Flask and FastAPI frameworks, multiprocessing, and multithreading application development.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, object-oriented programming, and relational databases such as SQLite and MySQL.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Remedy, or ServiceNow is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of web-based software solutions and network-defined automation.
• Define the architectural vision and target operating environment to support strategic business outcomes.
• Ensure system architecture is flexible, modular, adaptable, and designed for client resiliency.
• Educate team members on technology practices, standardization strategies, and development best practices.
• Develop solutions utilizing CLI and API integration with major network and security products.
• Apply depth and breadth across technical competencies to deliver end-to-end solution designs.
• Execute CI/CD pipelines alongside automated software testing.
• Manage application risks and alignment with technical standards and controls.
