WorldQuant seeks a senior-level Python engineer to join a small team working on complex data pipelines, AI/ML systems, and cutting-edge software solutions.

The role demands deep Python expertise, data engineering, and software architecture. You will mentor juniors, review code, and drive architectural decisions while collaborating across teams in our business-facing technology organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of Python development with data engineering and AI/ML.
• Expert Python, Pandas/NumPy, PySpark experience.
• Experience designing scalable data pipelines.
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Git, CI/CD, and agile practices.
• Strong communication to explain complex concepts.
• Finance experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience with PyTorch or scikit-learn and LLM/agents a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead senior Python engineering on data pipelines and AI/ML systems.
