Job summary

Envision Technology Solutions in Jersey City, NJ or Wilmington, DE seeks a Sr. Python Developer with strong banking experience for a 5-days onsite contract role.

You will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications, build RESTful APIs, and contribute to data pipelines, automation frameworks, and integration solutions. The role also involves supporting AI/ML components, CI/CD, and security-compliant coding practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 4–6 years of hands-on software development experience with Python, PySpark, Pandas, Django.
• Strong knowledge of Python libraries, frameworks, and development best practices.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating with third-party platforms.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Proficient in Git and collaborative development workflows; strong debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications and services.
• Build and support RESTful APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, and developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in the design and implementation of data pipelines, automation frameworks, and integration solutions.
• Support AI/ML initiatives by developing data processing components and integrating machine learning services into business applications.
• Troubleshoot production and non-production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security standards, and best practices.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices to improve software quality and deployment efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, and operational procedures.
• Support application monitoring, performance tuning, and reliability improvements.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
