Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Python Developer to build and operate components of a SaaS risk and compliance platform. You will work primarily in Python on Linux, ingesting and processing large datasets, and deploying workloads on AWS using services such as Lambda, ECS, EC2, and RDS.

This contract role offers a W2 arrangement with comprehensive medical, dental, vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance, with opportunities to contribute to modernization and production

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Strong experience with Python and Linux.
• Proven experience ingesting, storing, and querying messy data at scale.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other SQL relational databases.
• Familiarity with ElasticSearch or other NoSQL search engines.
• Hands-on AWS experience with Lambda, ECS, EC2, RDS, SQS, S3, Route 53, and networking concepts.
• Demonstrated initiative in independent or self-managed projects.
• Adaptable, self-motivated, and curious, ideally with startup exposure.
• Nice to have: LangGraph, NLP, ML, or agent frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python services and data pipelines on Linux.
• Ingest, normalize, and query large-scale datasets.
• Implement and optimize data models in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Build and tune search capabilities using ElasticSearch or similar engines.
• Deploy and operate workloads on AWS including Lambda, ECS, EC2, RDS, SQS, S3, Route 53, and networking concepts.
• Own components end to end including source code, testing, and deployment strategies.
• Contribute to modernization while supporting production stability for the screening platform.
