Job summary

Erias Ventures is seeking a Software Engineer (Enterprise level) in Annapolis Junction, MD to maintain and enhance complex software systems including analytics and large data sets. You will work individually or in teams, reviewing tests and driving design tradeoffs with a focus on robust, scalable software.

Required skills include Python, Kotlin/Java, Terraform, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and AWS. A Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph clearance is preferred and a strong background in government-like

Qualifications

• 14+ years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 4 years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Proficient in Python, Kotlin/Java, Terraform, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or environments.
• Develop data queries for databases or data repositories.
• Develop/implement algorithms to meet performance standards.
• Assist with test procedures for software components.
• Write or review software documentation.
• Lead teams as appropriate within development process.
• Coordinate software installation and monitor operation to meet specs.
