Job summary

Grid Dynamics in Seattle seeks a software engineer to partner with internal customers, translate AI/ML use cases into scalable technical solutions, and build production-ready services on Cloud AI Platform.

You will prototype rapidly, collaborate with platform teams to improve APIs and developer tooling, and ensure reliable operations in fast-evolving environments.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python - production services, not just scripting.
• Demonstrated experience designing and operating microservice architectures (service boundaries, inter-service communication, failure handling).
• Production React experience - component architecture, state management, and integrating against REST backends.
• Hands-on Splunk experience: writing searches, building dashboards, using logs to drive root cause analysis.
• Operations and maintenance experience on live systems: deployments, observability, performance tuning, incident response.
• Experience building Claude skills or agent workflows (Claude Code skills, MCP servers, or comparable LLM tooling), with a clear sense of what makes an agent workflow reliable.
• Proven ability to self-direct and troubleshoot independently with minimal handholding.
• BS, MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, or equivalent degree with applicable experience.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our team builds the developer tooling, platforms, systems and experiences that power Cloud AI Platform. In this role you will partner directly with internal customers to understand their use cases, evaluate technical requirements, and build AI-driven systems and solutions that leverage Cloud AI Platform capabilities. You will prototype quickly, harden solutions for production, build services and feed insights back to platform teams to influence roadmap and improve the developer experience.

You will also act as a bridge between product management, partner platform, and customer teams by helping define best practices, documenting patterns, and working closely with platform engineering groups to drive alignment and deliver systems. Success in this role requires a combination of strong engineering fundamentals, applied ML awareness, platform thinking, customer empathy, and the ability to deliver in fast-evolving environments.
