TEKsystems is hiring a contract Software Engineer in Jersey City, NJ, to deliver complex requirements and ensure software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance needs. You will work in a high-performance team, design scalable components, and mentor peers while advancing CI/CD practices.

The role focuses on Python development, distributed computing concepts, and familiarity with financial instruments.

Formación

• Programming in Python (or equivalent languages).
• Understanding of grid/distributed/parallel/high-performance computing concepts.
• Knowledge of FICC or Equities products in pricing, risk and PnL domains.
• Software development and testing, deployment and support using agile methodologies.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements.
• Guide team in estimating work to realize a story from the delivery lifecycle.
• Perform spike/proof of concept as needed to mitigate risk or test ideas.
• Code solutions and unit test to meet acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
• Use multiple architectural components in design and development of client requirements.
• Assist team with resolving technical complexities in story work.
• Design/develop/modify architecture components and interfaces while preserving architecture integrity.
• Design/maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).
• Set up and develop a CI/CD pipeline.
• Automate manual release activities.
• Mentor other Software Engineers on CI/CD practices and tooling.
