Job summary

TEKsystems in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Python Developer for a 12-month contract (with potential extension and conversion to full time). You will develop object oriented software in Python on the Quartz platform, build data transfer tools, and contribute across the full SDLC.

Ideal candidates have hands-on Python, strong SQL/NoSQL, Docker and Kubernetes exposure, and excellent communication. This hybrid role offers competitive hourly pay and a pathway to longer-term opportunities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python development with enterprise-grade code.
• Strong SQL design, tuning and queries.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Familiarity with Quartz platform is beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop object oriented software in Python, working with object oriented databases and grid computing on the proprietary Quartz platform.
• Build data transfer tools to replicate data from a NoSQL datastore into an Oracle Exadata environment.
• Contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and follow Agile delivery practices.
