Job summary

Digis, a Europe-based company with growing digital healthcare efforts, seeks a Senior Python Backend Engineer for a long-term project. You will design and implement scalable backend services, build REST APIs, and mentor peers while collaborating with distributed teams on production-ready code.

You'll work on a fast-growing platform using AI to transform healthcare, with production-grade data processing and API integrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience with Python.
• Experience with modern Python web frameworks.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture.
• English— Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Python backend services.
• Build and maintain REST APIs.
• Work with databases, migrations, and query optimization.
• Integrate internal and third-party services.
• Write unit and integration tests.
• Participate in architectural decisions and code reviews.
• Support production services and mentor less experienced engineers.
