Qualifications

• 5+ years of OO programming experience.
• 3+ years Hadoop, Spark/PySpark, building large-scale data pipelines.
• 3+ years Hadoop ecosystem tools (HDFS, Hive).
• 3+ years banking/financial services front-office applications.
• 3+ years quantitative research/development with complex data.
• 3+ years REST services, ReactJS or full-stack development.
• Experience with Object and Relational Databases.
• Knowledge of SDLC, version control, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of Fixed Income and Equity markets.
• 2+ years risk and pricing applications.

Pay Range: $60-$65/hr on W2

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a hands‑on development role, contributing to the design, build, and enhancement of mission‑critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a hands‑on senior developer primarily using Python, PySpark, Spark, Hadoop contributing to core components of applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high‑performance applications with a focus on reliability and regulatory compliance.
• Own and manage assigned JIRA stories, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery aligned with monthly release cycles.
• Develop and support solutions within the Quartz platform, addressing audit findings and surveillance control enhancements.
• Build and consume REST services and collaborate on full‑stack UI development using modern frontend technologies.
• Analyze complex domain‑specific datasets to support surveillance, risk, and monitoring use cases.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required

• 5+ years of hands‑on programming experience in an object‑oriented language
• 3+ years of strong expertise in Hadoop, Apache Spark/ PySpark, building scalable distributed data processing pipelines for large‑scale batch and streaming datasets
• 3+ years of strong hands‑on experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools including HDFS and Hive
• 3+ years of experience as a senior developer supporting front‑office applications within banking or financial services
• 3+ years of experience as a quantitative researcher and/or developer, with the ability to analyze complex domain‑specific data
• 3+ years of experience in REST services, ReactJS, or full‑stack application development
• Strong experience with both Object Databases and Relational Databases
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), version control, and CI/CD practices
• Knowledge of Fixed Income, Equity products and related market structures
• 2+ years of experience developing risk and pricing applications
• Experience or strong understanding of Trade Surveillance, Market Misconduct, and Global Markets Compliance
