The Senior Python Developer will design and develop solutions for a high‑impact trading platform focused on improving the speed and accuracy of trade entry into Enterprise Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems. Working independently across defined projects and collaborating closely with business stakeholders and technical teams, this role will build APIs, distributed systems, and automated solutions that reduce manual processes and improve the availability of critical management information, including P&L data.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop APIs using Python and object‑oriented programming principles.
• Build scalable distributed and asynchronous systems that maintain data integrity across multiple environments and machines.
• Develop solutions using SQL databases, Oracle, and other enterprise database technologies.
• Build and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop event‑driven and message‑based solutions using Kafka or similar message broker technologies.
• Deploy and support applications within Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
• Collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders to define, develop, test, and release new application features.
• Provide workarounds, troubleshooting, and bug fixes for urgent production issues.
• Implement DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
• Develop automated testing and deployment solutions that improve application quality and delivery efficiency.
