Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) seeks a Senior Python Developer to design, implement, and maintain software systems using Python, SQL, Django, and related technologies in a data-driven environment. You will build interactive visualizations with Plotly Dash, develop ETL pipelines, and maintain Airflow DAGs while aligning with cyber and business teams.

You will contribute to Django-based web applications, data visualization projects, and Python-based ETL efforts, with emphasis on secure coding,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-10+ years of experience in data engineering and software development, using Python (including Django) and SQL.
• Demonstrated knowledge of building and maintaining ETL data pipelines.
• Experience building data visualizations with Dash/Plotly.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, Agile, version control, CI, and testing.
• Experience integrating front-end and back-end technologies such as Django and FastAPI.
• Experience with Linux-based infrastructure and security best practices.
• Leadership experience, guiding 2-3 junior Python developers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software systems using Python, SQL, Bash, and JavaScript.
• Build interactive data reporting and visualizations with Plotly Dash, D3.js, and AG Grid.
• Create and maintain Airflow DAGs and Python-based ETL applications.
• Collaborate with cyber business teams and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
