Job summary

Findev is seeking a Backend Engineer in the United States (Georgia) to design and implement robust RESTful APIs and data pipelines powering quantitative platforms. The role involves building scalable backend services, modeling data across relational and NoSQL stores, and collaborating closely with researchers and frontend engineers.

You will work with Postgres, Snowflake, MongoDB, and S3, shaping architecture, performance, and security for analytics workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong Python proficiency is essential.
• Hands-on experience with Postgres, Snowflake, MongoDB and S3.
• Solid data modeling (ER design) and system design principles.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and modern tooling.
• Experience building production-grade REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Python frameworks.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and backend services for analytics workloads.
• Design and optimize database schemas across relational, NoSQL, and cloud stores.
• Work with Snowflake, Postgres, S3, and MongoDB for data handling.
• Collaborate with researchers, frontend engineers, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to scalable, reliable, and secure system design.
• Monitor production systems using observability tooling.
