Job summary

SGS Technologie Pvt Ltd. seeks a Senior Hands-On Backend Engineer to own a core backend platform. You will focus on event-driven architecture, Event Sourcing, CQRS, domain modeling, and multi-tenant security while delivering production-grade systems in Python.

You will work with relational databases, serverless cloud-native design, containers, and automated testing, ensuring secure, scalable services and AI-assisted development review.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Experience designing event-driven architectures including Event Sourcing & CQRS.
• Strong domain modeling and software design skills.
• Experience with multi-tenant security and server-side isolation.
• Serverless cloud-native architecture and containers experience.
• Strong automated testing across unit/integration/edge path testing.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Hands-On Backend Engineer to own the technical integrity and delivery of a core backend platform. This is a highly hands‑on role focused on building, securing, testing, and delivering production‑grade transaction‑processing systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in event‑driven architecture, Event Sourcing, CQRS, domain modeling, multi‑tenant security, Python, relational databases, serverless cloud architecture, containers, automated testing, and AI‑assisted software development.

This is not an analytics, data warehousing, or business intelligence role.

Required Qualifications

• 8–12 years of hands‑on software engineering experience with recent production development experience.
• Strong experience designing and building event‑driven architectures, including Event Sourcing and CQRS.
• Strong domain modeling and software design skills.
• Experience with multi‑tenant / multi‑party security and server‑side tenant isolation.
• Strong understanding of:
• Encryption at rest and in transit
• Event integrity and message signing
• Authorization and access control
• Working knowledge of relational databases, read models, and projection design.
• Experience with serverless‑first cloud‑native architecture, including object storage and serverless compute.
• Strong container experience, including containerized development and container‑image packaging.
• Experience with local cloud emulation for development and testing.
• Strong experience with automated testing:
• Unit testing
• Integration testing
• Edge‑case and error‑path testing
• Experience defining test strategies, CI quality gates, and production‑quality standards.
• Strong experience reviewing and validating AI‑generated code and tests, including identifying security vulnerabilities, authorization bypasses, injection risks, leaked secrets, and inadequate test coverage.
• Strong ownership and delivery discipline with the ability to drive work from design through production.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to identify risks early and make appropriate escalation decisions.
• Comfortable working within established architectural decisions without continuously reopening settled decisions.
• Ability to work effectively in a small, fast‑moving engineering team.
• Comfortable working from principles and open‑ended problems rather than relying solely on pre‑written tickets.
