The ideal candidate has deep Python experience, proficiency with Flask and FastAPI, and a track record in building microservices and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development
• Proficiency with Python development
• API development using Flask and/or FastAPI
• Experience designing RESTful services
• Knowledge of distributed systems / microservices architectures
• Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI for API documentation
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server)
• Git-based source control and collaborative workflows
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python backend services
• Build and support RESTful APIs with Flask and FastAPI
• Develop automation solutions for infrastructure provisioning and operations
• Collaborate with network, platform, DevOps, and architecture teams
• Design resilient, secure, and highly available microservices
• Create reusable libraries and frameworks to accelerate work
• Integrate backend services with internal and cloud platforms
• Monitor and optimize application performance and reliability
• Develop database schemas and data access layers (relational & NoSQL)
• Participate in code reviews, testing strategies, CI/CD, release management
• Document system architecture, API specs, and procedures
• Support production environments and root cause analysis
