Job summary

ClickHouse is seeking experienced software engineers to join the AI/ML Engineering team, building AI-powered features across the full stack in the Cloud platform. You will design scalable APIs and integrate with broader AI/ML ecosystems, bringing models into production with robust monitoring and evaluation.

You will own the ML pipeline end-to-end—from data and training to evaluation—and collaborate with teams to ensure trustworthy experimentation and deployment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
• Experience working directly with AI/ML technologies.
• Experience integrating and deploying AI/ML models in production, including working with inference APIs and vector databases.
• High level of ownership and ability to drive features from concept to production with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Feature Development: Design and implement AI-powered features across the full stack, from backend inference services to frontend interfaces within the ClickHouse Cloud platform.
• API Architecture: Create robust, scalable APIs that connect ClickHouse's database capabilities with AI/ML inference systems and external/internal AI services.
• Ecosystem Integrations: Implement and maintain integrations with the broader AI/ML ecosystem and standards, ensuring ClickHouse works with popular frameworks and tools.
• Technical Integration: Integrate models into production systems with monitoring, versioning, observability, and evaluation.
• Oncall: Participate in daytime oncall rotation with the team.
• ML Engineering: Own the ML pipeline end-to-end (data, training, evaluation) and fine-tune or train models when off-the-shelf ones fall short.
