Job summary

Citi is seeking a Python AI Engineer - Assistant Vice President to design, develop, and deploy advanced Generative AI models and chat interfaces. You will work across the AI lifecycle, from research to production, collaborating with data scientists and product managers to deliver innovative solutions at scale.

The role emphasizes responsible AI, scalable data pipelines, and hands-on experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch, LLMs, and modern cloud platforms.

Qualifications

5-8 years of professional software development experience with a strong Python focus.
Experience with Generative AI models including LLMs or similar architectures.
Proficiency with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX and at least one cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Strong React front-end skills for building interactive UIs and chat interfaces.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy Generative AI models (LLMs, GANs, VAEs, diffusion) in Python using TensorFlow, PyTorch or similar.
Integrate Generative AI capabilities into existing systems and build new AI-powered applications.
Build and maintain dynamic chat interfaces for Generative AI solutions using React and real-time updates.
Develop data pipelines for training, evaluation, and deployment of AI models.
Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and product managers to deliver solutions.
