Industrial Supply is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead our purchasing team and own inventory performance. You will oversee buyers, manage inventory levels and turns, and monitor key KPIs while driving data-informed purchasing decisions.

Responsibilities include managing purchase orders, analyzing SKU trends, supplier performance, and cross-department collaboration to forecast demand and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain.
• Strong data analysis and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to monitor and improve inventory KPIs and turns.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the purchasing team to ensure daily tasks are accurate and timely.
• Own inventory performance, including levels, turns, and KPIs.
• Review requirements and generate purchase orders efficiently.
• Analyze SKU performance, forecasts, lead times, and purchasing trends.
• Identify slow-moving, obsolete, and dead inventory and address it.
• Monitor vendor performance, fill rates, pricing, and lead times.
• Meet with suppliers to discuss performance and opportunities.
• Manage item data including pricing, descriptions, units, and catalog info.
• Resolve product availability issues and expedite orders when needed.
• Collaborate with Sales to forecast inventory needs and demand.
