Job summary

Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, part of Danaher, is seeking a Senior Purchasing Lead to drive supplier performance, resolve part escalations, and optimize inventory in Indianapolis on-site. The role requires strong collaboration with suppliers, capacity planning, and production teams.

You will use Power BI, ERP systems, and Excel to forecast demand, monitor metrics, and ensure timely delivery to customers, while advancing Danaher’s continuous improvement culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5+ years of general business experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years general business experience or Doctoral degree with 0+ years of experience
• Strong organizational, communication, and detailed operational process skills to keep all parties informed of attainment or missing metric targets.
• Proven ability to manage Suppliers.
• Data analysis and interpretation with PowerBI or similar tools.
• Proficient with ERP systems, Excel, and agile in learning new software.

• Negotiate PO Liability with Suppliers.

We are currently seeking a Senior Purchasing Lead who will be responsible for working with Suppliers to improve performance, including understanding supply constraints, handling part escalations and identifying opportunities for inventory reductions.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain, and is part of the Supply Chain team located in Indianapolis and is an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Monitor Supplier Performance, working with Supplier and Commodity Team to improve Supplier OTD by driving ongoing supplier optimization.
• Handle delivery/part escalations from the Site Buyers.

The essential requirements of the job are:

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5+ years of general business experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years general business experience or Doctoral degree with 0+ years of experience
• Strong organizational, communication, and detailed operational process skills to keep all parties informed of attainment or missing metric targets.
• Proven ability to manage Suppliers.
• Data analysis and interpretation with PowerBI or similar tools.
• Proficient with ERP systems, Excel, and agile in learning new software.

It would be a plus if you possess experience in the following areas:

• Creating and Developing Power BI Dashboards and other Analytical tools
• SQL experience
• APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CPM Certification
• Experience in manufacturing, buying or planning for instrument/accessory products
