Job summary

DENSO in Maryville, TN is seeking a Procurement Support role to assist with monthly reporting, supplier communication, and RFQ tracking. You will help source MRO parts and process purchase orders for the plant, while improving processes and coordinating with internal teams and suppliers.

The position emphasizes cost analysis, VA/VE projects, and maintaining pricing accuracy, with opportunities to set up new suppliers and support pricing uploads during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of purchasing procedures and terms.
• Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• Detail-oriented with good data summarization.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to calculate discounts and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Performs more advanced support duties relating to monthly reporting, supplier communication to ensure price accuracy and timely delivery and supports Specialists with RFQ distribution and tracking.
• Assists with procuring and sourcing parts and services for the maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) of the company location or product line assigned. Processes MRO purchase orders.
• Improves internal processes and documentation to build on efficiency of work and team.
• Works with internal departments and external suppliers in addressing outstanding issues.
• Reviews quotations and evaluates suppliers for the purpose of making recommendations.
• Conducts general administrative duties for the purchasing group such as filing, ordering supplies and coordinating miscellaneous department activities.
• Assists with contract development and execution with suppliers.
• Assists with value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) projects.
• Typically assists in identifying and analyzing cost savings and negotiating price reductions
• Additional responsibilities include New Supplier setup in (JDE, CIGMA and ORACLE)
• Maintains DENSO to DENSO pricing with support of Business Planning
• Occasionally support with the mass upload of prices into NAPGWEB during PPR timing and mass supplier communications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
