Job summary

Adecco Permanent Recruitment in Richmond, VA is seeking a procurement professional to support high-value construction, technology, security, and infrastructure projects through strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supply chain optimization.

You will lead sourcing strategies, manage RFQs/RFPs and bids, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with engineering and project teams to support bids and execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 4+ years in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, category management, or supply chain.
  • Experience with contract negotiations, RFPs, RFQs, spend analysis, and supplier management.
  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing strategies and category management initiatives.
  • Develop and manage RFQs, RFPs, and supplier bids.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements.
  • Partner with engineering, estimating, and project teams to support bids and project execution.
  • Analyze supplier proposals and conduct apples-to-apples quote comparisons.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and sourcing alternatives.
  • Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and supply chain risk.
  • Perform spend analysis and leverage data to drive procurement decisions.
