We are experiencing strong growth, which means more exciting and challenging projects. To support this, we are looking for a Purchaser and a Senior Purchaser to join our Procurement team at Kongsberg Discovery.

Key tasks and responsibilities

The Purchaser will handle purchases according to internal procedures and coordinate deliveries from suppliers. You will communicate with internal customers and support offers to end customers.

The Senior Purchaser will participate in negotiations, establish supplier agreements, work strategically on supplier development, prepare requests, evaluate offers, and select suppliers. You will have strategic responsibility for specific product categories and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

The roles involve evaluating suppliers, purchasing for production and development projects, and ensuring quality, logistics, and supplier follow-up. You will contribute to improving purchasing processes, tasks, and competencies. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with precision and clear communication is essential. You will collaborate closely with colleagues to secure optimal agreements globally.

Qualifications

• Experience with purchasing for large procurements in public or private sectors
• Experience with purchasing for production is an advantage
• Higher education in economics or technical fields; relevant experience can substitute formal education
• Ability to work independently, proactively, and meet deadlines
• Experience with ERP systems
• Good communication skills in English and Norwegian
