Job summary

Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety seeks a Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst IV to perform complex assignments in the Safety Culture Branch. The role includes conducting safety culture assessments, evaluating executive compensation structures, and performing certification reviews, with occasional travel to OEIS locations.

Reporting location will be the OEIS office nearest the candidate's residence, with Oakland and LA offices listed as primary sites.

Qualifications

• Experience researching and analyzing data.
• Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, projects, or large reports.
• Experience leading or coordinating meetings or workshops.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to deliver under pressure and changing circumstances.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of safety culture, organizational culture, human and organizational factors, and safety operations.
• Knowledge of one or more: utility grid operations, emergency management, risk analysis, forecasting, economics, finance.

• Conduct statutorily required safety culture assessments.
• Evaluate executive compensation structure and perform certification reviews.
• Support other Division workstreams as needed.
• Travel occasionally to OEIS offices as required.
