Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Pump Mechanical Engineer to help develop pump and artificial lift technologies through mechanical design, analysis, testing, and qualification activities.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to drive New Product Introduction, improve reliability and manufacturability, and deliver high-performance solutions across the product lifecycle in energy applications.

Strong knowledge of rotating equipment and engineering principles is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of Engineering/Technology experience.
• Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Mechanical Component design, engineering, or related technical functions.
• Experience with rotating equipment, pump technologies, or related mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of engineering analysis, product development processes, and mechanical design principles.

Responsibilities

• Execute the mechanical design and development of pump systems and rotating equipment from concept through detailed design and qualification.
• Design, analyze, and evaluate mechanical components and subsystems using sound engineering principles and established design practices.
• Lead product development projects through the NPI process to meet technical, cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
• Develop engineering plans to achieve project requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
• Perform engineering analysis and evaluations to improve product performance, reliability, and functionality.
