Job summary

You will work across hardware, controls, and geoscience teams to deliver reliable, high-energy pulses and ensure safety at lab and field sites. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience in HV pulsed power, strong diagnostics skills, and a collaborative mindset for cross-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, building, and testing high-voltage pulsed power systems from concept to hardware integration.
• Strong command of fast switching, insulation coordination, pulse diagnostics, and protection.
• Experience creating and enforcing safety practices for high-energy lab or field environments.
• Collaborative, low-ego communicator across hardware, controls, and geoscience domains.
• Ability to make sound technical/economic decisions under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own design and development of pulsed power systems delivering high-energy pulses.
• Architect modular generator stacks for reliability and field operation.
• Run trade studies on switching topologies and insulation schemes.
• Integrate high-speed diagnostics, sensing, and controls.
• Collaborate with geoscience teams to relate pulse parameters to permeability gains.
• Draft technical reports, proposals, and safety documentation.
• Establish HV/EHS protocols and travel for field deployments (travel ~10-25%).
