Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Manager for the Pulmonary Lab and Rehab to oversee daily operations, lead technologist teams, and drive quality initiatives. The role includes budgeting support, equipment evaluation, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.

Occasional travel to CHP satellite locations may be required. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), NBRC registered, and 2+ years in a supervisory pulmonary setting with strong leadership and interdepartmental

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• NBRC Registered or equivalent certification (RPFT/Exercise Specialist).
• Two years lead experience in pulmonary diagnostics or rehab.
• Three–five years in pulmonary lab/rehab or equivalent.
• Master's degree desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day workflow for pulmonary lab and rehab.
• Provide leadership to Leads and Charge Technologist.
• Coordinate equipment purchases, repairs, and maintenance records.
• Develop and maintain quality improvement program in department.
• Update policies and procedures per GLI and ATS/ERS standards.
• Organize team meetings and participate in leadership/education sessions.
