Little, Brown & Company, a division of Hachette Book Group, in New York City, seeks a Sr. Publicity Manager to lead a dynamic team and drive publicity for a diverse slate of titles.

You will manage author tours, secure national media, plan events, and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Editorial and Subsidiary Rights to maximize reach and impact.

Hybrid work in NYC is offered, with three days in the office per week. Candidates should have 6+ years in publicity and strong media relationships.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in publicity
• Strong relationships with national/regional media
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of bookstores and lecture venues; travel with authors as needed

Responsibilities

• Publicize approximately 15 titles per season (30 per year) for Little, Brown & Company and imprints; manage author tours and media bookings
• Develop and maintain relationships with press across broadcast, print, online, and trades
• Brief authors for interviews and accompany them to publicity engagements
• Strategize media lists and create press materials; pitch media
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Editorial, and Subsidiary Rights
• Build relationships with booksellers and venues; plan author appearances and regional events
• Supervise one direct report with potential for more managerial duties
• Liaise with Hachette Speakers Bureau and support weekly press memo and awards submissions
