Metro PR, an entertainment-focused communications firm, is hiring a Senior Publicist to join our Music Division. This team member will work across a dynamic roster of artists spanning Afrobeats, R&B, hip-hop, pop, and emerging genres, helping to develop and execute strategic communications campaigns that drive cultural conversation and long-term career growth.
The ideal candidate is deeply immersed in music, entertainment, fashion, internet culture, and social media. They understand that today's publicity extends far beyond traditional media and know how to identify opportunities across digital platforms, creator communities, podcasts, newsletters, fashion, experiential events, and emerging cultural moments.
This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role. While this position comes with team support and opportunities to mentor junior staff, we are looking for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves - pitching media, building relationships, brainstorming creative ideas, coordinating opportunities, and contributing meaningfully to day-to-day account execution. This is not a management-only role.
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in music publicity, entertainment communications, or a related field, ideally within an agency environment. Experience representing artists across multiple genres - including pop, hip-hop, R&B, Afrobeats, country, rock, electronic, Latin, or adjacent entertainment sectors - is strongly preferred. Strong existing relationships within music and entertainment media, record labels, management companies, and the broader cultural landscape are highly valued.
