Job description

Entertainment, media, talent and events-focused boutique communications agency in Venice, CA, seeks motivated individual for Senior Publicist position. Seeking smart, strategic team player to work across numerous network / streamer and talent clients, and potentially others in the production and media spaces.

This is a full-time, in-office position five days / week (not remote) and we are looking for client service-oriented candidates with passion for the television and entertainment business.

Responsibilities include :

• Implementing launch and ongoing publicity / media relations campaigns for numerous shows for network and streaming clients
• Pitching and promoting talent clients across mainstream and vertical television, music, influencer and general consumer and entertainment press
• Drafting pitches, press releases, media alerts and other related / relevant press materials, and handling publicity assets including photo and clip selections
• Pitching and working with U.S. and international press including editors, writers, critics, bookers, producers, etc., across news, entertainment and digital outlets, including podcasts, and fielding press and related industry offers on behalf of clients
• Staffing client interviews and appearances, junkets, satellite tours and other publicity activities
• Briefing clients, talent and representatives on media interviews / appearances, panels and events, and executing media training / preparation for clients, including drafting Q&A / talking points
• Working collaboratively with the agency’s internal executives, as well as with communications executives at a range of networks, steamers, studios, publishers, etc.
• Executing timely reporting on status of all activities as they relate to the agency’s clients and projects
• Flagging and handling crises / controversies as they arise

Requirements :

• 4-6 years minimum of publicity and / or communications experience
• Must be able to multi-task and have excellent time management / prioritization skills
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal abilities
• Must possess strong relationships with entertainment, music, lifestyle and general consumer press and the ability to secure meaningful stories and bookings
• Must understand social media / influencer execution and be able to integrate both into client campaigns
