Job summary

Roebbelen is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead Civic & Public Works projects across Northern California, based in El Dorado Hills with travel as required. Manage projects from preconstruction to closeout, ensuring schedule, budget, safety, and quality standards are met.

The role requires seven+ years in construction management, with strong public works experience and the ability to independently direct teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders. A proactive leader is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of progressively responsible construction management experience.
• Proven success managing complex public works or civic projects.
• Experience leading projects in the $20M–$60M range is strongly preferred.
• Advanced scheduling capabilities and recovery planning.
• Strong contract administration, cost control, and documentation knowledge.
• Understanding of construction principles, drawings, and specs.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, planning, coordination, and execution for assigned construction projects.
• Independently manage large, complex projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Ensure contractual compliance with schedule, budget, quality, safety, and performance.
• Develop and update project schedules; identify risks and lead recovery planning.
• Maintain knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specs.
• Lead project meetings and document decisions, actions, and issues.
• Direct and mentor project staff and coordinate trade partners and consultants.
• Provide technical leadership on design, constructability, sequencing, logistics, and methods.
• Oversee safety, staffing, resource planning, and manpower utilization.
• Maintain client relationships and project stakeholder engagement.
• Lead project closeout and ensure warranties and turnover documents are completed.
• Support business development through pursuits, proposals, and relationship building.
