Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school.
• Four years progressively responsible journey level public works construction inspection experience.
• Knowledge of public works inspection methods, materials, and testing procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform field inspections for public works projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and regulations for compliance and safety.
• Monitor construction methods and schedules; ensure workmanship meets standards.
• Record accurate data on time, cost, and work performed for payments.
• Authorize changes within contract limits and communicate with contractors.
• Provide lead direction and training to assigned staff.
