Job summary

Rhode Island Public Utilities Commission is seeking a Public Utilities Analyst V to perform complex audits and economic analyses of utility filings. You will evaluate rate structures, capital costs and revenue requirements, and provide strategic guidance to support Commission decisions.

The role requires advanced knowledge of utility ratemaking, accounting, and the ability to prepare detailed reports and testify at hearings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state laws governing public utility ratemaking.
• Ability to analyze complex financial records and cost of service.
• Ability to prepare written reports with conclusions and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex rate case filings for multiple utilities.
• Provide economic and financial advice to the Commission.
• Prepare pre-hearing and post-memoranda for the Chairman/Administrators.
