Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. is hiring a Senior/Staff Product Designer to lead product design for Scale's Public Sector unit. The role involves end-to-end design of government/defense workflows, including dashboards, mapping interfaces, and analytic tools, with direct, on-site collaboration with government customers.

You will partner with Product from day one, operate in high-ambiguity environments, and help grow the design team while delivering customer-facing experiences that meet mission-critical needs.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience across design settings and problems.
• Experience owning end-to-end B2B or enterprise product design at senior/staff level.
• Comfort with ambiguity and evolving requirements in government/enterprise engagements.
• Experience designing complex workflows, dashboards, data-heavy interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design from undefined requirements to wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for a government/defense product.
• Partner with Product as a peer from project inception.
• Work on-site with customers, building relationships and socializing design decisions with stakeholders.
• Design dashboards, mapping interfaces, alerting systems, and analytical tools.
• Collaborate with engineers in code to refine the shipped experience.
• Contribute design patterns back to the broader platform and help scale the function.
