Job summary

Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking a Senior Lieutenant- Public Safety & Security Training Supervisor to lead professional training for Public Safety & Security personnel and provide supervisory coverage when not training.

The role develops, coordinates, maintains, documents, and delivers training, oversees the Field Training Program, and coordinates emergency response, radio procedures, report writing, and building security.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in criminal justice, law enforcement, emergency management, public safety, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, implement, maintain, and revise the Department’s training program and annual training schedule.
• Manage and maintain the Field Training Program with orientation, phases, evaluations, remedial training, and documentation.
• Coordinate assignment of new personnel to Field Training Officers and monitor progress.
• Provide training in emergency response, radio procedures, report writing, patrol procedures, de‑escalation, and safety.
• Obtain and maintain trainer certifications for CPR, AED, First Aid, Stop the Bleed, and related certifications.
• Lead departmental training events, maintain records, and ensure certification compliance.
• Provide operational supervision during shifts when required and support campus security operations.
