Position Purpose

The Senior Public Policy Advisor will work with Centene associates across the company to develop and execute strategies that support Centene's business objectives and its purpose of helping people live healthier lives. This includes conducting research, analyzing policy proposals, and providing subject matter expertise within the individual's portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prioritize multiple health policy deliverables, leading cross-functional projects with minimal oversight.
2. Manage policy portfolio areas, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in ambiguous or adverse situations.
3. Contribute strategic insights and creative solutions to enhance work products.
4. Analyze legislation and regulations impacting Centene's plans and products.
5. Provide policy expertise on areas such as Medicare Advantage, Part D, Marketplace, dual eligibles, and ancillary services like Health IT and AI.
6. Communicate effectively with stakeholders through strong written and verbal skills.
7. Synthesize complex information for stakeholders using analytical and critical thinking skills.
8. Develop position papers, policy briefs, and presentations for senior executives with little oversight.
9. Lead comment letter and RFI development processes, engaging business lines and drafting responses to agencies like CMS.
10. Represent Centene's policy priorities at meetings with third-party organizations and trade associations.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Policy, Public Policy, or related field required.
• Master's Degree or relevant experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in health policy, healthcare analytics, law, or related fields.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality, data-driven communication to stakeholders.
• Experience with rapid, iterative change and relationship development.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $68,700 - $123,700 per year.
