Job summary

Accel Construction in Chicago, IL is seeking a Lead Estimator to drive public and federal pursuits. You will lead bid administration, evaluate complex bid packages, and expand our project pipeline with the support of a strong leadership team.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or engineering, 10+ years of estimating experience on public and federal hard-bid projects, and advanced proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or engineering required.
10+ years of professional construction estimating experience.
Proven track record on Public and Federal Hard-Bid projects valued $2.5M–$70M.
Advanced proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Lead bid administration including plan reviews, take-offs, and trade-scope reviews.
Monitor SAM and GovTribe databases to capture federal pursuit opportunities.
Engage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure complete bid-day coverage.
Perform bid-day analyses and integrate value-engineering solutions into proposals.
Follow up with architects, owners, and managers to close business.
Ensure seamless turnovers to Project Management after contract award.
