Qualifications

• Knowledge of statutes, court decisions, federal and state laws, and local criminal law.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to investigate and prepare cases for hearings and trials.

Responsibilities

• Leads and coordinates daily work activities of assigned co-workers.
• Represents clients in court at various stages of cases; negotiates at all stages and handles motions.
• Attends court appearances, creates case files, and tracks case-related data and calendars.
• Reviews discovery, interviews clients, inspects records, and prepares exhibits and witnesses.
• Develops defense theories and case strategies; conducts legal research and writes briefs.
