Iowa State University is seeking a Senior Psychologist to join Student Counseling Services (SCS) in Ames. The role focuses on delivering direct mental health services to students, including individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and educational outreach.

The successful candidate will supervise trainees and participate in a robust training program within a collaborative team, contributing to student well-being and academic success.

Qualifications

• Requires Doctorate in psychology from APA/CPA accredited program and licensure; 1 year related experience may include a doctoral internship.

Responsabilités

• Provide individual and group therapy within a brief treatment model.
• Conduct intake assessments and make recommendations for appropriate services.
• Deliver crisis intervention and manage urgent student needs.
• Provide presentations and outreach programming on mental health topics for students, staff, and faculty.
• Provide supervision to trainees.
• Maintain thorough documentation of client interactions and services.
• Take part in crisis coverage as part of a rotating staff schedule.
