Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (MD or DO) and completion of internship, three years of psychiatric residency, and one year of post-residency in psychiatry.
• Valid licensure in Florida or ability to obtain FL licensure within 30 days of hire.
• Board Certification in Psychiatric Medicine or appropriate discipline.
• Current Federal DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Document patient history, mental and emotional state, diagnostic evaluation, treatment and disposition and clinically appropriate and timely coding for insurance reimbursement in the patient's EMR.
• Serves as Practice Clinical Director for FSU BehavioralHealth, providing leadership and oversight for patient care, safety, quality improvement, clinic operations, and patient experience; collaborates with Practice Managers on operational and budgetary matters, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provides comprehensive psychiatric care by evaluating patients, diagnosing mental health conditions, developing treatment plans, coordinating referrals, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams; may serve as clinical preceptor and provide consultation to APRNs.
