Job summary

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE.
• One year of experience performing the duties of a Psychiatric Technician (Safety) or Psychiatric Technician in a California State hospital or developmental center.

Responsibilities

• Administer care to forensic patients under supervision, and assist in planning and evaluating nursing care.
• Provide basic level of general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to rehabilitate clients.
• May direct work of other employees during an eight-hour shift and relieve the supervisor when required.
