Job summary

Suffolk County is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with supervisory experience to lead AOT/EVA case management, coordinate hearings, and supervise staff within a county psychiatric setting. The role includes conducting investigations, aligning with police and CPEP, and producing statistical reports.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), at least one (1) year of which must have been paid supervisory experience in a psychiatric setting.
• Certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the New York State Department of Education.
• Must possess a valid driver's license in New York State.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Assisted Outpatient (AOT) removal orders with Police and CPEP.
• Monitor AOT/EVA caseload and follow up on clinical concerns.
• Provide Kendra's Law trainings for hospitals and outside agencies as needed.
• Attend Case Conferences for AOT/EVA clients.
• Conduct AOT/EVA investigations.
• Attend meetings such as ASPOA staff, quarterly Systems of care, Clinical Review Panel, and AOT investigations.
• Supervise case management staff and oversee training compliance.
• Attend Kendra hearings and complete AOT petitions as needed.
• Oversee AOT/EVA statistical reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

• Attend meetings including, but not limited to: ASPOA staff meeting, quarterly Systems of care meeting, Clinical Review Panel, AOT investigation meeting

• Attend Kendra hearings, complete AOT petitions, as needed;


• Oversee AOT/EVA Statistical Reports;


• Perform all other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Salary : $63,919, or higher, commensurate with experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Minimum Qualifications

Necessary Special Requirements

• At the time of appointment and during employment in this title, candidates must possess a Certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the New York State Department of Education.


• At the time of appointment, and during employment in this title, employees will be required to possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State.

Promotional

• Two (2) years of permanent competitive status as a Psychiatric Social Worker or Psychiatric Social Worker-Alcoholism.
