Job summary

Oceans Healthcare in Greater New Orleans is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead nursing staff and ensure high-quality psychiatric care across inpatient and outpatient services.

A MSN or BSN with management and psychiatric experience and an active RN license is required; 3+ years of leadership in nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• MSN preferred or BSN with management and psychiatric experience.
• Unrestricted RN license to practice in Louisiana.
• 3+ years of leadership experience as an RN.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and nursing service activities toward positive outcomes.
• Supervise nursing staff, assign workload, training, monitoring and evaluations.
• Lead nursing performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Develop data collection tools and report to the Performance Improvement Director.
• Ensure facility safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
• Support patient safety initiatives with Risk Management and de-escalation programs.
• Ensure licensure, continuing education, and adequate nursing coverage across units.
• Oversee training and onboarding of nursing staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
