Job summary

Hudson Regional Health is seeking a Psychiatric Patient Care Director who holds twenty four hour accountability for managing the Psychiatry Department and supervising the psychiatric staff to meet patient needs. This role coordinates and facilitates nursing activities on the psychiatric unit and participates on Behavioral Health Services committees.

Requirements include a nursing degree, NJ license, at least five years clinical experience with management experience preferred, and CPR

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Five years clinical experience; 3 years management experience preferred.
• Current license to practice professional nursing in New Jersey; RNC preferred.
• CPR Certification as per hospital policy.

Responsibilities

• Participates effectively on committees in Behavioral Health Services.
• Demonstrates continued assessment of processes.
• Coordinates nursing portion of the Acute Behavioral Health Services Quality Improvement Program.
• Ensures that the unit staff maintains a positive, consumer-oriented focus.
• Promotes and encourages staff participation in performance improvement activities.
