Creedmoor Psychiatric Center in New York is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor 1 Psychiatric to oversee registered nurses and direct care staff at the center. You will supervise, coordinate, and plan nursing activities across the unit, ensuring staffing and care quality.

The position requires NYS license and at least 2 years of post-licensure experience with mental illness or related fields; advanced degrees may substitute experience per policy.

Qualifications

• NYS license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
• 2 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorders.
• A master's degree in nursing may substitute for 1 year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.
• A doctorate in nursing may substitute for 2 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.
• Candidates from within State Service may be considered if they have 1 year of RN 2 or RN 3 experience, or 2 years in a Grade 18+ role requiring a license.

Responsibilities

• Directing and reviewing the work of nursing staff.
• Preparing and monitoring staffing schedules.
• Developing daily staffing plans for nursing care.
• Ensuring compliance with established standards of nursing care in accordance with State, federal, and accreditation agency requirements.
