Job summary

SCAN is seeking a Senior Provider Relations Lead in Houston to drive regional provider performance, governance, and executive-level relationship management for high-complexity provider groups. You will own regional strategy across markets and coordinate with Contracting, Network Operations, Clinical, Quality, Analytics, and Growth teams to align enterprise priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7 years of healthcare / Medicare Advantage experience in a Provider Relations or similar role.
  • Experience with delegated or risk-based provider arrangements.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience presenting to executive provider leadership.
  • Must live in or within a reasonable commute of the Houston, TX area.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior strategic contact and primary escalation point for assigned high-complexity provider organizations, maintaining executive-level engagement, accountability, and alignment with SCAN’s objectives.
  • Owns and drives regional provider performance strategy across assigned markets, delivering improvements in quality, utilization, cost, and access.
  • Lead complex performance reviews and governance forums with provider leadership, translating data into actionable improvement plans.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Contracting, Network Operations, Clinical, Quality, Analytics, and Growth teams.
  • Analyze provider-level performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; develop and monitor corrective action plans.
  • Lead investigations and resolutions of escalations with structured root cause analysis.
  • Support strategic contracting and provider partnerships by aligning readiness and governance frameworks.
  • Provide subject-matter leadership by coaching Provider Relations Leads and strengthening engagement practices.
  • Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance and drive continuous improvement across markets.
