Job summary

Optum seeks a Senior Provider Relations Advocate to support its IPA physician network across South Riverside County, including Murrieta. The role requires travel 50-75% and in-office work 1–2 days weekly.

You will educate, troubleshoot and partner with IPA leadership to improve performance, access and care coordination. Strong communication and Medicare/Medi-Cal knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in health care/managed care environments.
• 3+ years in provider relations and/or provider networks.
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medi-Cal regulations.
• Experience with healthcare system billing and claims processing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as single point of contact for the physician network and address provider needs.
• Monitor performance of PCPs and develop action plans with IPA leadership.
• Intervene and escalate issues as appropriate.
• Maintain awareness of providers for new business opportunities and market dynamics.
• Collaborate with offices and growth teams to drive membership growth and retention.
• Respond to provider issues within one business day and coordinate resolution.
• Build relationships with IPA physicians and staff; attend in-person meetings.
