Humana Healthy Horizons Plan in Ohio seeks highly motivated Engagement Professionals to provide end to end provider experience as a member of our Medicaid team. The Senior Provider Engagement Professional develops and grows positive, long-term relationships with physicians, providers and healthcare systems in order to support and improve financial and quality performance within the contracted working relationship with the health plan. The Senior Provider Engagement Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Senior Provider Engagement Professional will work with key providers throughout the state, including Primary Care Providers (PCPs), FQHCs/RHCs, and Hospital Systems.

The Senior Provider Engagement Professional represents the scope of health plan/provider relationship across such areas as financial performance, incentive programs, quality and clinical management, population health, data sharing, connectivity, documentation and coding, HEDIS and STARs performance, operational improvements and other areas as they relate to provider performance, member experience, market growth, provider experience and operational excellence. Begins to influence department strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. The Senior Provider Engagement Professional will work with key providers throughout the state, including Primary Care Providers (PCPs), FQHCs/RHCs, and Hospital Systems.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of health care or managed care experience with provider relations, provider contracting, or network management
  • Experience in measure-based gap closure (quality improvement, HEDIS, MPS or similar)
  • Proven planning, preparation and presenting skills, with established knowledge of reimbursement and bonus methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • Must live in Northeast or Central/Southeast Ohio (Columbus or Akron, OH)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial trends for health care costs, administrative expenses and quality/bonus performance
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Medicaid policies, processes and procedures

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$71,100 - $97,800 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
