Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is hiring for a second-shift Protective Operations role. You will protect personnel, facilities, and assets, enforce access control, respond to alarms, and monitor CCTV and other security systems.

You will work 2pm–10pm or 3pm–11pm, bringing 5+ years of security experience, strong decision-making under pressure, and mentorship to the team. Relativity Space offers competitive pay, equity, PTO, parental leave, and a learning stipend.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in physical or corporate security or related field.
• Experience in senior or lead security roles.
• Knowledge of patrol operations, access control, CCTV, and incident reporting.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication; reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Protect personnel, facilities, critical infrastructure, intellectual property, controlled information, and assets.
• Enforce company policies, restricted-area requirements, post orders, and access-control procedures.
• Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, unauthorized access, medical emergencies, workplace disturbances, and other incidents.
• Assess incidents, take appropriate action, and provide initial operational direction until leadership assumes control.
• Monitor CCTV, access-control, intrusion-detection, alarm, and other security systems.
• Identify gaps, risks, and recurring deficiencies and elevate them through the chain of command.
• Assist with investigations, video reviews, evidence preservation, and fact gathering.
