Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Gulfport, MS seeks a Coatings Inspector III to lead protective coatings programs across projects. You will review and write coating specifications and inspection plans, investigate failures, and audit applicators while supervising junior inspectors onsite.

Required CIP Level 3 (AMPP/NACE), 8+ years coating inspection experience including supervision; PCS preferred. Travel to project sites and coordination with owners/engineers/manufacturers are involved.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of coatings inspection experience, including supervision.
• Experience writing coating specifications, inspection and test plans.
• Ability to audit applicators and coating suppliers and calibrate inspection standards.

Responsibilities

• Review and write coating specifications, inspection and test plans, and quality requirements.
• Investigate coating failures via field evaluation, sampling, lab coordination, and written findings.
• Audit applicators and coating suppliers; qualify inspection subcontractors.
• Supervise and develop Level 1 and 2 inspectors; calibrate acceptance standards.
