Job summary

Goodwill Greater New York and Northern New Jersey (GWNYNJ) seeks a PROS Senior Mental Health Counselor in NYC (Harlem). The role delivers direct PROS services, supports recovery-oriented planning, and promotes service quality while supervising interns and guiding staff.

You will manage a caseload of 17–20 participants, document within OMH/Medicaid timelines, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to advance independence and dignity through work.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation or related field and NYS licensure.
• Minimum of 3 years of behavioral health or psychiatric rehabilitation experience.
• Experience in licensed PROS programs and with seriously mentally ill preferred.
• Experience facilitating groups and working with individuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct PROS services to participants according to OMH PROS definitions and recovery goals.
• Facilitate individual and group services focused on skill development, wellness self-management, community integration, employment readiness, and goal attainment.
• Manage caseload of 17-20 participants.
• Supervise 2-4 student interns annually.
• Complete clinical documentation within OMH and Medicaid timeframes.
